This was the last time they would play here in 1960. The ballroom was temporarily closed because of fights. Some nearby residents complained to the Wallasey Corporation, lessors of the Grosvenor Ballroom. The corporation decided that the onl option to stop the fights was to cancel the rest of the season and resume "strict tempo" dances. Later that year, the Grosvenor wouldreopen rock sessions, though the were comtrolled by the Wallasey Corporation and not Les Dodd.
