... this is a list of pages I've been working on to try/test the features of MediaWiki ... feel free to send me comments and/or modify pages when needed ...
Not related to this wiki but BZ is restored and back online.
- Dsnmi completed several pages with info about show performed in Odeon Cinema, Leeds. For instance: Live Performance - June 5, 1963 or Live Performances - November 3, 1963 or Live Performances - October 22, 1964.
- He also added artists sub-pages coming from those shows in Odeon Cinema, Leeds: Roy Orbison, Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers, , The Brook Brothers, The Vernons Girls, The Kestrels, Mary Wells, Tommy Quickly, The Remo Four, Michael Haslam, The Rustiks, Bob Bain. Keep on the good work !
- I've added several events for tomorrow June 7
- Added some info about Odeon Cinema, Leeds as well as an article/event for every Beatles performances there (some need more details, don't hesitate to modify !) (list can be found on Odeon Cinema, Leeds)
- Added a small event for tomorrow June 4
- Added attribute Version in Template:SongIndex to briefly describe the version using "Take x" or "Home Demo" etc
- Added doc on many "events" templates...
- Added events for June 2 and June 3 (two 1966 recording sessions)
- Played around with the display of chronological events ... now displaying an arrow to link to an event page ...
- Added some events for tomorrow June 1 :-) ... it's two BBC shows recordings: Pop Go The Beatles - 2nd show and Pop Go The Beatles - 3rd show
- Category:Radio Recordings created. As Category:Live performances, it's a sub-category of Category:Songs Versions.
- Added another article taken from http://www.cinematreasures.com : Odeon Cinema, Southend-on-Sea (The Beatles played there on May 31, 1963 and on December 9, 1963)
- Added one event that occured in May 30 (a concert in Manchester) and this evolved into an article about a soon-to-be demolished cinema where The Beatles played in 1963 ... see Odeon Cinema, Manchester (w/ pictures & links)
- I've also added "dynamic/senamtic wiki" pages for all years from 1957 to 1970 ... so any event or song version page including Template:Event or Template:SongIndex will be listed on these pages automatically...
- Added Template:TCBC, a sort of "shortcut" to cite Mark Lewisohn's Complete Beatles Chronicle in a proper way. More "bibliographical" templates could be created...
- Template:SongIndex has a new attribute named VDescr describing the song version. VDescr is meant to be used on song's main page like Ain't She Sweet while ShortDescr is meant to be used on chronological pages like 1961, 1964 & 1969 where you'll find more events about Ain't She Sweet
- I've added a new tag <purge/> that automatically purges the cached version of the page it is included in. Please use sparingly: only with pages including Semantic Wiki queries (<ask> .. </ask>) instead of Template:Refresh. For now the <purge/> tag is used on the main page to automatically refresh the "Today In Beatles History" section.
- I have added article Rialto Theatre, York with info & pictures, I have entered in the Semantic Wiki database the 4 times the Beatles played there. One was during the 1963 Tommy Roe/Chris Montez Tour (article w/ info+picture). These pages both include inline queries to display the venues known by the wiki. Click the edit button on these pages to see how I did it.
Added Help:Templates, a help page about how to use templates.
I've also worked on Help:Semantic Wiki but it's not complete yet.
EP section done.

I've worked on the May 17 page to explain with more details how the Semantic Wiki works ... The first section of the page was created manually as on WikiPedia (for instance). The three next sections were created dynamically using Semantic Wiki Queries.
This page also includes information about using templates etc ...
Click the edit tab on this page to discover how YOU could do it ...
Just to give a rough idea on how "category" may look:
Note we need to have foreign translated categories.

Some pages were added. Ain't She Sweet slightly improved with new links. Some bios added, some others needs improvement. Basically that was a playing around with Wiki.

- nothing new ... just a few words to tell you I'm away until Sunday evening ... in the meantime don't hesitate to write/create/edit articles and/or send suggestions/questions/etc ...
- I've been playing with multi-languages implementation ... see Template:Languages for a description of what can be done and how to do it ... The template will display a box like this
To implement new languages, simply create a page with the same name than the article in english, let's say Silver Spoon but with an additional suffix: "/lg" where lg is an abbreviation for your language, for example "fr" for French, "es" for Spanish (español) etc ... If you want to create a Spanish version you would name your page "Silver Spoon/es", insert your translated text and add a {{Languages|Silver Spoon}} tag at the end to display a languages box similar to the one above ...
you may see an example with a French translation of the article about Ain't She Sweet. The French translation is here (it's incomplete!)
- I've implemented Semantic Wiki. It allows the use of "annotations" for every article. Think of annotations as "properties". You may see a few BeatlesWiki examples on the Ain't She Sweet page (see "Chronogical list of known versions"). It allows the creation of automatic cross-referenced articles like:
